Camp Walley and Camp Matta A trp 1st Recon Sqdn 9th Cav 1st Cav Div. 1963/64 no barrier fence, no rotation to a camp below the river always locked and loaded! I spoke to a guy in 1999 or 2000 that was planing a trip to S. Korea, he had a friend writing a book called Walking the Wire or Wire Walkers, any way I thought he was talking about MDL patrols now I find he was talking about the south tape of the zone where a barrier fence was built starting in 67.. We rode the south tape daily and never gave it a second thought. The troopers killed in that jeep in July of 63 were from A troop, and no one ever mentions the other guy who was badly wounded..

The Pueblo was taken because the NK's needed to save face for the failed raid on The Blue House.

James Horton possibly. Another theory is it might’ve had something to do with the Soviets need for Navy encryption related technology off of a boat since they had recently acquired the encryption keys to Navy technology from the John Walker spy ring

That's one explanation. It didn't really matter to us, if the ballon went up we were cooked,

I was at Camp Alamo 1966/67 Co B (FWD) 508th ASA Group in the 7th Infantry Area of operations along and in the DMZ. I was on station the night of November 2, 1966, when the ambushed killing six Americans and one S Korean KATUSA, happened. Our site overlooked N Korea and Pork Chop Hill was in full view.

YO! I am the pretty dude at 1:50 Never thought I would see this History Channel video posted. It has been 50 years since that night the 3/4 got ambushed. Easter night. You think that dirt ball Kim il Sung didn't have that one planned? I write this post Good Friday, 2018. God got me back home. Still not sure I have accomplished what HE wants me to do.

Unfortunately I was part of the 7th Divarty Units that were stationed in your AO. I never quite figured out what that was about or why we were HQ Battery and our gun battery's were on the other side of Charlie Block and we had to drive through Musani to get there!
