The same reality that said we won every battle, but lost the war. Currently reading "Shrapnel in the Heart", a novel which follows select writings left at the Wall in DC to explore the loss and grief of family members and friends of the fallen. What is striking is the total lack of compassion and humanity in US leadership, to send thousands after thousands into a violent and senseless war, in the spirit of imperial hubris.

We need to recognize the United States Army wasn't ready for the Korean War on June 25,1950. The budget for the Army had been cut to the bone. General MacArthur had to set up Operation Rollup. Army salvage teams gathered all the old WW2 abandoned military equipment and supplies from island battlefields. The abandoned weapons, vehicles, tanks and infantry equipment were rounded up, transported to Japan for salvage. These vehicles and equipment were stripped down at depots, put into industrial solvent, cleaned of rust and debris and rebuilt into usable wapons.Their engines and drive trains were stripped down, rebuilt and refurbished into new usable equipment or cannibalized for spare parts to make one new piece of usable equipment. The Korean War would have been lost had Operation Rollup not been completed before the Korean war. Japanese workers and managers were trained in American industrial know how too. Much of this 8th Army depot work was accelerated with the Korean war. This factor played a major role in the rapid Japanese economic growth of the 1960's. Much WW2 Japanese military equipment should have also been gathered up, put into depots and refurbished for postwar Lend Lease military aid. The Americans stupidly dropped Japanese military equipment and weapons into the ocean. This older Japanese military equipment would have been useful for training, internal security, or even frontline service with supplements of American military equipment to fill in the gaps. All militaries have second echelon troops in the service components who just need something to shoot at the enemy in case of emergency. Older refurbished weapons used by second echelon service, artillery, and other rear area troops free up industrial capacity. This allows the frontline infantry to be supplied with the most modern weapons. Remember, American allies in the Dutch East Indies, the British in Malaya, the French in Indochina and Nationalist China all needed weapons on top of the American commitments to NATO Europe, Greece, and Turkey. South Korea was added to this long list at the weapons supper table after the Korean war started. The United States didn't have enough military weapons to go around for all these hungry customers. Our depots were swamped with work for NATO BEFORE the Korean War started. Certain people ridicule Japanese WW2 era tanks and infantry equipment calling them obsolete. Such people lack the strategic creativity and the imagination to understand the crucial need do the very best with what weapons you have at all times in this world. Frequently, older refurbished military weapons and equipment only needs supplements of modern weapons, like submachine guns and bazookas, to still be useful military weapons. We can't always have all our military wants and needs immediately met with the most modern equipment, if war suddenly comes upon us. We have to remember all the hungry customers at the weapons dinner table when "unexpected war" suddenly breaks out. Everyone wants infantry weapons, ammo and guns yesterday when war breaks out. So the wisdom of depot refurbishment of older weapons is an economical strategy and profoundly wise action to take to counteract "the hungry customers at the weapons table" dilemma. This cost effective weapons depot refurbishment can be accomplished for the cost of labor and fixed facility costs. So it is a dirt cheap solution for national defense needs. However, with some refurbishing, a potent array of Japanese WW2 military equipment could have been kept in storage for wartime reserve. Japanese WW2 tanks, such as the Type 95, could have been refurbished, had their turrets removed, to become recoilless rifle gun carriers or used as mortar carriers or armed with several .50 machine guns in a new turret for the heavy weapons company of a South Korean Army battalion. The type 95 turrets could have been placed on top of buried concrete bunkers as fixed above ground rotating turrets to cover important bridges or other positions where bunkers are necessary. These types of dug in tank turret bunkers can cover such areas as the main approaches to arterial roads or highways. Japanese Type 97 tanks could have been refurbished, with the help of Mitsubishi industries, into armored gun carriers with American 75mm , 76mm or 90mm guns or recoilless rifles and made into potent infantry support weapons. Japanese 50mm mortars were excellent to use in infantry companies. The Japanese Type 92 70mm infantry gun was an excellent light support gun for use at battalion level. This excellent type 92 70mm gun could have been mounted on a turretless tank or used as a self propelled gun system from a Japanese light Type 95 tank. Japanese mortars were also of high quality. Even older Japanese tanks could have been refurbished, modernized, had increased welded armor and fitted with American guns. These refurbished Japanese tanks could have been dug into revetments and used as fixed or moveable pillboxes with modern recoilless guns for infantry field fortifications. So the point here is the American people NEVER want to spend extra money on defense during peacetime. One way to couteract this chronic problem is to make the hoarding of any and all military equipment for depot refurbishment after war a codified national policy. You want to hoard all the weapons you can lay your hands on at the end of a war for depot refurbishement because it makes infinite sense in strategic economic terms. These refurbished older weapons can sit in cosmoline for decades in a warehouse. It is far better to have ample supplies of older refurbished weapons in case of a sudden war than to NOT have enough of either older or new weapons when the enemy is advancing into your country. Just think what three or four hundred refurbished Type 97 Japanese tanks with modern American guns on them could have done on June 25, 1950 for the South Korean Army? The Americans could have done something like this Japanese weapons refurbishment policy easily at very economical cost. It could have been done as an insurance policy on the cheap. The Japanese industry could have kept making ammunition supplies too. We could have trained the South Korean Army better with advisers and trainers but given them mostly refurbished Japanese equipment. We especially wanted to create a South Korean militia/reserve system. North Korean casualties would have been far higher from the first day of the war against a ROK militia/reserve system with lots of refurbished Japanese weapons. These ROK militia companies would need ample supplements of American submachine guns, light machineguns, and 3.5 inch bazooka weapons in the headquarters platoons in every ROK militia company. These ROK militias firing at the North Koreans from every village and city block would have been possible with a rapid call up militia/reserve system. I am assuming adequate infantry training of course for this South Korean militia/reserve system. Such a South Korean militia/reserve system with refurbished Japanese weapons might have been able to turn Seoul into a "Stalingrad meatgrinder" kind of battle of atrition for the North Korean invaders. Chinese Communists Armies and the North Korean Army used all kinds of Japanese weapons to supplement their Soviet weapons. The Japanese Type 92 70mm infantry gun and other artillery pieces were used by communist militaries in the French Indochina wars too. So the Americans throwing Japanese weapons into the ocean in 1945 was a STUPID BLUNDER. The Japanese could have also started making newer modern designs of weapons too with American techncial help for Cold War Lend Lease military aid. yellowlegs-and-others.com/Events/Operation_Rebuild.html vlib.iue.it/carrie/texts/carrie_books/hermansen/3.html

The year I was born , The year when amazing cars , music , clothing , were coming out in the states and these guys going through hell . Who made money from this war ? That's when you will see who started it . Freemason Elites again under Rothchild's orders . They assisted in bankrolling the civil war , stock market crash , etc etc .

Bloody genocidal maniacs. This murderous race will meet its end soon in a bitter way and only then humanity will have peace. They are the roots of all evil in this world but mfs have no shame to call people defending themselves as terrorists. These cowards will only fight hiding behind walls, carpet bomb civilians and kill women and children. Karma is already catching up with them. Most of them are now obese, unfit and suffers from mental illnesses. Their population is in decline as a lot of them are homosexuals, paedophiles and most of them don’t have children. In a matter of 2 centuries they will be labeled as an endangered race and then the victims would take their revenge and end this cancer for good so that rest of humanity can live peacefully.

very basic documentation, which hardly delivers facts about the campaign itself, but a lot of hurra patriotism, and a false description and portrait of a picnic style soldiers life. Boring.

1:06:40 "Consume steel, not men"? -Because the only weapon China could use against the United States was men How could a country that has been devastated by civil war for half a century, a backward agricultural country that has just ended its civil war for less than a year, compete with the United States at that time to "consume steel"? At that time, the Chinese army even used rifles from Chiang Kai-shek, the Japanese and the Soviet Union, which did not have enough capacity to produce light weapons. "Consume steel, not men"? Well, I know that the United States is a democracy that values human rights, while China is an evil regime that doesn't value human rights and likes to waste the lives of its soldiers. To fuck communism, evil communism needs everyone to kill it!
